Update

I'm not going to lie, I've kind of forgotten this thing existed. As you can see, I've neglected it quite a bit. Ever since I've changed my career path I've been extremely stressed with schedules and figuring out which classes I need to be taking and which ones I took for no reason.

Basically, I've gone from major to major over the last 3 years and I think I've finally decided on one. (Like I haven't said that before. Ha!) I've gone from veterinary to graphic design to pharmacy to nursing to premed back to nursing and now I'm thinking it could be fun becoming an ultrasound technician. I've always wanted to work with kids and as an ultrasound technician I can get a job working at a children's hospital or an OB/GYN clinic and watch the babies develop before they are born. So, I've aimed my new class schedule for that and I should be done with my prerequisites in a semester and a half.

I'm so glad I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. it's been so exhausting going from semester to semester and taking classes only to find out they aren't needed. It's completely frustrating. Thank God the end is near.

Aside from school and work, I've been dedicating the majority of my time to the puppies. We were supposed to sell them all in order to pay back the breeder for our first dog, Daisy but everyone knows that nothing ever goes as planned. The mommy dog fell in love with the oldest and my mom couldn't bear to tear them apart so we called the breeder and asked if there was any way we could keep her, she said yes. We were so excited to be able to keep one but were still sad that the weeks were becoming short and soon the other two would be gone.

Over the next couple weeks I became super attached to the second oldest, a little girl. She had already been sold and the day she was leaving was coming up fast... but so was my birthday. Low and behold on my birthday my parents surprised me by telling me that they bought another puppy for the couple who bought her from us and she is now ours.

Puppy count: 2

So, we were keeping two of the puppies and the last one, a little boy sold to a couple up North but once again, things didn't go as planned. This time my dad fell in love with the last remaining puppy. He called the breeder and asked, once again, if there was any way we could keep him. She did some rearranging and yup, that's right, we are keeping him.

Puppy count: 3

So, the puppies are now almost 14 weeks old. We've named them (in order from oldest to youngest) Riley, Penny and Max. They are running around and are as rambunctious as possible. On Saturday they are getting the last of their shots and we are going to be able to take them out in public for the first time. I'm not sure how they're going to react but I'm sure it's something like this:

Riley- OMG OMG OMG This is so much fun!! OMG So much space!!! WEEEEE!!! *run run run run run*
Penny- What's this tall green stuff? It's so much fun to roll in! OMG!! Wet stuff! *rolls in mud* I love the outside world!!!
Max- I DON'T WANT TO GO! NOOO!! Hey, this isn't so bad... I think I'll stay close though...

Maybe if I'm not lame I will update you when the day comes to let you know what actually happened.

As for puppy videos, I fail at life and haven't been recording them much if at all. I kind of stopped the daily recordings at about 5 or 6 weeks. :(

I do have a couple pictures on my phone, though and once I figure out how to get them off I'll post them if I'm not to lazy.

Sorry it's been ages!

Puppies!

As some of you may know, my dog Daisy recently gave birth to 3 beautiful maltese puppies:

Puppy #1
aka Alexa (Lexi)
previously known as Alice
Birth weight: 7.5 oz

Puppy #2
Needs a name
Birth weight: 7 oz

Puppy #3
aka Max
Birth weight: 6.5 oz

I know what you're saying right now. "They look like rats" or "they're so ugly" but just wait until they open their beautiful little eyes, grow hair and become rambunctious. You won't be able to resist them. I promise. ;)

As of right now, Lexi is still the biggest of the 3. Max is still the smallest and has come to be the house favorite. Now, I know I'm not supposed to get attached as we are selling them when they become of age and it's bad news bears to choose favorites... but I can't resist little Max. The moment you pick him up, he just relaxes and lets you carry him around the house. He doesn't squirm or wiggle like the other 2 and, come on, he's completely precious.

Daisy is being such a good mom. At first I think she had too much mothers instinct. Anytime a baby would let out the littlest noise, she would freak out. She would run to them and start kissing them or try to nurse them. Which, I guess isn't a bad thing until she started undermining herself. For the first 2 days or so, the babies got little sleep because any time they would start to drift off, Daisy would come over and nudge/lick them until they woke up. Then they would cry. Then she would freak out and try to comfort them. It was kind of a cycle...

She's a lot better now, though. She has realized that not ever peep needs to be attended to. In fact, a few nights, she's let them peep and whine for minutes before she even bothers to go see what's wrong.

I imagine puppies have specific cries just like babies do. You know, one for hunger, one for attention, that sort of thing. I can't tell the difference but I figure Daisy must know them because sometimes she rushes over and other times she's just like "whatev."

I'm thinking of making a video with them soon. I just wanted to wait until they open their eyes and look a bit more attractive. Although, who is going to bash a puppy that fits in the palm of your hand.

On another note...

Yesterday, I got an email from YouTube and I guess my kickball video has been added to the Youtube Partnership Program. I'm waiting to hear back from them on partnering my entire account. I'm not going to lie, I'm really anxious. It'd be kind of a bummer if they only want my one video... but I guess if they don't want my whole account anything is better than nothing.

So, if you have nothing better to do, check out my video?

Well, I have to go get ready for school. I'll try to be good about twitter, blogs and videos.
I just connected Blogger to my phone so aside from these massive posts, you might be in for a few little updates now and then.

P.S. Puppy #2 needs a name. She's a girl. Suggestions?

Day 4: There's a hole in my pocket...

When I have money, I shouldn't be allowed to go on Ebay.
Money burns a hole in my pocket.

This was too cute to pass up:

But I needed a holder for my brushes anyway. :P

Day 3: A day of adventures

What does Cierra look like today?

Well, I'm about to go shopping. Then I'm going to a barbeque and then I'm going to hang out with some friends and play some games. I'll blog all about it when I get home. I just thought I'd get a picture up to tide you over until my return. (:
- 10:25 am

First stop: Mac Cosmetics
So, I went in knowing I wanted to get a Red Velvet shadestick from Mac's Sugarsweet collection.. well.. they were all sold out of the shadestick so I ended up looking around and it resulted in me buying more than I thought.

Final inventory:
- Stars N' Rockets (eyeshadow)
- Passionate (eyeshadow)
- Chrome Yellow (eyeshadow)
- Politely Pink (lipstick)
- Magenta (lip liner)
- 15 tray pallet

Second stop: Louis Vuitton
So, before you say anything to the effect of "damn, this girl is spoiled" I didn't buy anything. I found one purse I was absolutely in love with. Unfortunately, it came with a $1,800 price tag which, I'm sad to say, is extremely out of my price range. I can't tell you how often I wish I could just walk into a store and buy whatever I wanted without having to concern myself about prices. That day will never come.

Final inventory:
None

Third stop: Starbucks
Not a lot to say about my trip to Starbucks other than I got my usual: a venti, 4 pump classic, strawberry passion tea.
I added a sausage breakfast sandwich to my order. It was delicious. <3

Final inventory:
- Venti passion tea
- Sausage breakfast sandwich

Fourth stop: My secret store
So, I walked in, walked around and ended up bring about 20 items into the dressing room with me. I ended up buying 5. Gosh, I feel bad for the people who had to put them back. :(

Final inventory:
- 2 pairs of skinny jeans
- 2 pairs of ballet slipper shoes
- 3 spaghetti strap tops
- 1 short sleeve top reading "It's ok, I forgot your name too."

(If I'm not too lazy later I'll stick up a picture)

Final stop: Mac cosmetics
So, I ended up going to a different mall 30 minutes away to get my silly shadestick. They were in stock.. so I bought 2.

When I was going to pay, I fell in love with a green eyeshadow. I couldn't control myself so I bought it as well and just told myself I'll work it off this weekend. :P

Final inventory:
- 2 Red Velvet (shadestick)
- Bitter (eyeshadow)

Well, it looks like I have a date in about 30 minutes so off I go! Sorry if this blog was boring. :(

Day 2: Ho hum...

What does Cierra look like today?

So, not a very exciting day today. So far,I've  just done a lot of boring stuff: wake up, eat a brownie, get ready, go to school, sit in the enrollment center at school for two hours trying to choose one class to take this fall, come home, check my grades, blog.

Once again, Pilates class whooped my butt. My lack of both balance and arm strength is really getting used against me. It also doesn't help that my hands and feet slide on the pilates mat every two seconds.

I signed up for all my summer and fall 2009 classes today. As for that one class, I ended up going for beginners piano. I have had some piano experience and the class is for "people with little or no piano experience." So, I expect it to be pretty easy.

When I was on my way home from school I saw a nasty accident. It took about five minutes to go half of a mile. Everyone just HAS to stop and stare. Anyway, there was 1 fire engine, 3 cop cars and an ambulance. Also, you know how usually in an accident one car looks trashed and the other has barely any damage? This was no exception. One car had it's front end completely ripped to shreds while the other had a crunched front end.. but at least it was there.

ANYWHO...
I'm excited to say that both the Biology test I took today and the Statistics test I turned in yesterday were both graded and posted.
Statistics test: 88% (not bad for doing the whole thing the day it was due :P)
Biology test: 89.5%

Hm, what else could I possibly say on an uneventful day like today?

My mom decided to experiment in the kitchen and make a homemade spaghetti sauce which I'm sure will be delicious. It makes me want to do some cooking. I think I'll make homemade cheesecake this weekend. I just need to find a good recipe. Hm.. I think I am going to try to find the Cheesecake Factory's recipe online.

Speaking of this weekend, for once I'm getting an actual weekend. I don't have any homework to do or any tests to study for. There's nowhere I absolutely have to be. So, I guess it will be a weekend of hanging out with friends and shopping. That's always fun. Maybe I'll take a few pictures this weekend and post them in a blog. Who knows!
